Shallotte, NC – FOCUS Broadband is proud to announce Ryan Hill, Residential Development Manager, has been honored as a 2024 Trailblazer by Business North Carolina. This recognition celebrates young professionals who are making significant contributions to their communities and industries, particularly in rural areas. This year’s Trailblazers include 23 exceptional individuals from across North Carolina, who have demonstrated both diligence and creativity in their careers.

Ryan Hill has been instrumental in expanding FOCUS Broadband’s reach to serve new and growing communities within the cooperative’s ten-county service area. With just over two-and-a-half years at the company, he has taken on the important role as liaison between FOCUS Broadband and the building community, ensuring that high-speed internet access is available to underserved areas. He also plays a key role in CarolinaLink, the advocacy group for the North Carolina Broadband Cooperative's Coalition, by working alongside other broadband providers to promote rural broadband and share the economic and social benefits it can have on communities.
