Brunswick County, NC - FOCUS Broadband is pleased to announce that Elena Marie Pagnin has been selected as the recipient of this year’s Roger A. Cox Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship, awarded by The Brunswick Community College (BCC) Foundation, was made possible through an endowment established in 2016 by FOCUS Broadband along with its Board of Directors, retirees, corporate partners, sister cooperatives, and friends, in honor of Roger’s passion for education and serving the community.

Pagnin is currently enrolled at BCC, where she is pursuing an Associates of Arts degree. She plans to continue her education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington where she will pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.

Roger began his career at FOCUS Broadband in 1990 and served in several leadership positions before being promoted to General Manager in February 2015. “Through this scholarship, we are able to honor the lasting impact Roger made in Brunswick County,” said FOCUS Broadband CEO, Keith Holden. “We are happy to see this scholarship benefit such a deserving student and we are incredibly thankful to the foundation for helping us continue Roger’s legacy of supporting education and our community.”
