FOCUS Broadband Promotes Brent Brinson to Vice President of Engineering Operations
Shallotte, NC – FOCUS Broadband, a leading communications provider serving rural communities throughout eastern North Carolina, has announced the appointment of Brent Brinson as Vice President of Engineering.
“Brent brings valuable experience and insight to our senior management team, and we’re pleased to utilize his knowledge and talents in the new role of Vice President of Engineering,” commented FOCUS Broadband CEO, Keith Holden. “He’s been a leader in the engineering department for many years and has been instrumental in guiding the company through many initiatives. I have no doubt he will excel in this role.”
Brinson is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He joined FOCUS Broadband in 1999 as an engineer and has held various positions including Project Engineer, Engineering Supervisor, Senior Cable TV Engineer and most recently, Director of Engineering.
During his time with FOCUS Broadband, Brinson has played an integral role in growing the company’s network and has made significant contributions to numerous large-scale projects. Early in his career, he supported FOCUS Broadband’s entry into the fiber-to-the-home market and has since been at the forefront of the company’s expansion and fiber upgrade initiatives. Under his leadership, Brinson and his team successfully managed 20 broadband grant projects, expanding the company’s reach across nine eastern North Carolina counties.
